
Rattler Ryan Powell named MLL Offensive Player of the Week

(Rochester, NY)... Ryan Powell was named the Major League Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week after erupting for a career-high 10 points on May 22nd against the Baltimore Bayhawks.
Powell registered seven goals and three assists in setting a new franchise single-game record for points. With the Rattlers down at half, Powell scored seven points (five goals, two assists) as Rochester tried to mount a second-half comeback, falling short against the Baltimore Bayhawks, 24-18.
Powell is in his fourth season with the Rattlers and is the franchise's all-time point leader with 76 goals and 73 assists for 149 points. In 2001, he was named the league MVP. Powell played his college lacrosse at Syracuse University.
The Rattlers will host the Philadelphia Barrage on Saturday, May 29th at 7:30 p.m. at Bishop Kearney Field. The game will be broadcast on News Talk 950 WROC and online at SportsJuice.com.
