
Raptors Release PJ Tucker While on Assignment

Colorado 14ers News Release
The Toronto Raptors announced Saturday they have released rookie forward P.J. Tucker. Tucker is currently playing with the Colorado 14ers in the NBA Development League. Tucker was selected by the Raptors in the second round (35th overall) of the 2006 NBA Draft. He was assigned to Colorado on January 5 and recalled by the Raptors on February 5. He was reassigned by Toronto to the 14ers on March 5. He saw action in 17 games with Toronto, averaging 1.8 points and 1.4 rebounds. With the 14ers, Tucker has averaged 10.7 points and 3.4 rebounds in 19 games. Toronto's roster stands at 14 players. The Raptors are leading the Atlantic Division with a 38-31 mark and face the Celtics in Boston on Monday (Rogers Sportsnet/FAN 590).
