Raptors kicker named Player of the Week

June 21, 2006 - United Indoor Football Association (UIF)
Rock River Raptors News Release

For the third time this season, Rock River kicker Dillon Pieffer has been named the UIF Special Teams Player of the Week.

Pieffer had a chance two weeks ago to practice with the Chicago Rush of the AFL as they prepared for their quest at capturing the AFL Championship, which they did. If the Rush is hoping to find a clutch kicker out of the UIF, they found him. Pieffer nailed a 38-yard field goal as time expired last Saturday night to defeat the Ft. Wayne Feedom by a score of 29-27. He also hit another field goal early in the fourth quarter to make him 2 for 2 on the night. He also hit all three of his PAT attempts. On the season Pieffer has scored 107 points by kick and ranks him third in the league amongst kickers.

The Raptors (8-4) have clinched a playoff position and will host the Bloomington Extreme (5-7) this Saturday night.
