COLORADO RAPIDS HEAD COACH ROBIN FRASER
On the match:
"I thought it was a well-played tactical game between two good teams. I was really proud of our guys. I thought we were very disciplined in how we went about it. I would say Seattle is very disciplined in the way they approached us as well. As I said it, was a well fought tactical game. Disappointing to obviously lose the lead and when you look at the goal-again, I give Seattle all the credit in the world. They're a very, very good team. But the goal is one that is going to cause some debate around here. We love VAR for all of the calls that they get right, but it's disappointing when you feel like with all of that help that the calls still aren't right. So it's a little bit disappointing to drop the game, but like I said it was a really, well-played game between two pretty well organized teams."
On Dominique Badji's performance:
ÃÂ "Dom was really, really good tonight. He held the ball up for us, helped us link through the midfield at times, was threatening with some good runs behind and got some shots off. And then obviously the goal is the cherry on top. It was a very good performance from him tonight."
COLORADO RAPIDS FORWARD DOMINIQUE BADJI
On working with Assistant & Goalkeeper Coach Chris Sharpe on the team's set pieces:
"It's been great. I've worked with [Chris] Sharpe before, so I know a lot of his offensive schemes. Right before that corner, actually, he changed my run and so a couple of seconds after he told me to change it up I scored. So, thank you, Sharpie. But working with all of the attacking coaches, Wolde [Harris], Chris [Little], Embers [Neil Emblen], all of them honestly, just keeping me sharp and ready for this moment. I mean, I made the most of it."_
On his positioning tonight:_
"The spots I was trying to get to were the middle or the front post. A lot of the crosses were on the ground so that's usually where the balls end up. Unfortunate we didn't connect on any of those, but for me it's a positive that those crosses are there. It takes relationships and repetitions to get those connections. I haven't really played much with Jonny [Lewis] or Mikey [Barrios] and so I think the more we play, the more connections we have and the more naturally those crosses turn into goals."
