Buffalo Silverbacks News Release
Buffalo, NY. The ABA Buffalo Rapids today announced the signing of former Texas A & M standout, Carlton Brown, as the third player to join the professional basketball teams slated to begin play in November.
Brown, the 6'6" forward, has been playing in Europe for the past couple of seasons after graduating from Texas A & M University in College Park, Texas. While playing overseas, his teams have reached the Luxembourg Cup Semi-Finals and the Finnish Division I Finals. Brown received an Honorable Mention for the JUCO All America Team by Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook.
Coach Rich Jacob is quoted, "The Rapids have acquired a very athletic scorer and he is a proven pro who will compliment our team nicely." Brown is looking forward to playing for the Rapids and said, "I am very anxious and looking forward to leading the Buffalo Rapids to a winning season and I will give 110% in practice and games everytime I step out on the basketball court."
