Arizona Sundogs News Release

PRESCOTT VALLEY, AZ - Tim Boron's 37 saves were the difference on Friday night as the Rapid City Rush slipped past the Arizona Sundogs by a 2-1 final at Tim's Toyota Center.

The win was Rapid City's 15th straight over the Sundogs over the past two seasons.

Down 1-0 entering the third period, JP Chabot deflected a Tyler Butler shot from the point at 6:15 to knot the game up. Jesse Schultz added the game winner for the Rush at 8:58 off a scrum in front of the net that left the puck loose at the left side of the crease.

Les Reaney opened up the game's scoring late in the second period from the right circle.

Scott Reid took the loss, stopping 22 shots.

Neither team scored on the power play as the Rush went 0-for-3 while Arizona finished 0-for-2.

The Sundogs and Rush hook up again on Saturday for a rematch to close out the 2011-12 season. Game time is set for 7:05 PM MST and the action can be heard on Cattle Country 94.3 FM.
