Rangers Send Wolves Packing

The Kitchener Rangers power play led them to a 3-1 victory over the Sudbury Wolves.

After a scoreless first period, the Rangers opened up the scoring when Jeff Skinner took a wrist shot midway through the second period that beat Wolves netminder Andrew Loverock. Tyler Randell deflected a Patrik Andersson shot less than four minutes later to increase Kitchener's lead 2-0. Rangers Captain Dan Kelly fired a hard shot past the glove of Loverock with 22-seconds left in the period to make it a 3-0 game.

All three goals in the period were scored on the power play. Kitchener out shot Sudbury 28-11 during that period.

Wolves' Kristoff Kontos put an end to Rangers goaltender Mavric Parks shut-out bid at the 10:36 mark of the third period.

The Rangers had a 46-42 shooting edge over the Wolves.

The Rangers return to action Friday, December 4th when the Peterborough Petes come to town. Game time is 7:30pm.

The Rangers are preparing for the 15th Annual Teddy Bear Toss on Tuesday, December 8th. Fans attending the game are asked to bring a new or gently used teddy bear/stuffed animal to donate.
