
Rangers Claim Third Win In A Row

Brandon Mashinter had a hat trick and one assist to lead the Kitchener Rangers to a 7-6 victory over the Owen Sound Attack. The win gives the Rangers a three-game winning streak.
Mashinter opened up scoring at 4:45 in the first period to give the Rangers a 1 goal lead. Kevin Hudes beat Attack's goaltender Scott Stajcer to increase the Rangers margin to 2-0. Owen Sound's Garrett Wilson responded to make it 2-1. Mashinter closed out the scoring in the period with his second goal of the game.
Steven Shipley opened up the scoring for the Attack in the second at the 4:38 mark. Mashinter followed up with his third of the game. Owen Sound ended the period up 5-4 after notching three in a row, two from Joey Hishon and the third by Marcus Carroll.
The Rangers scored twice in the third to regained a one goal lead. Hishon collected his hat trick with a goal at the 13:30 mark and tied the game at 6-6. Scott Timmins scored the game-winning goal with 1:12 left on the clock, his second of the game.
Kitchener's Mashinter , Hudes and Steve Lock each tallied four points on the night.
