
Otters Taken Out By Generals

OSHAWA, Ont. - John Tavares scored twice to lead the Oshawa Generals to a 6-1 win over the Erie Otters in an Ontario Hockey League played tonight in front of 3,772 at General Motors Centre.
Taylor Carnevale, Brett Parnham, Shea Kewin and Alexander Denezhkin also scored for the Generals while Andy Andreoff and Kory Nagy collected two assists each. Oshawa improved to 5-4 with the win.
Sean Jones and Luke Gazdic replied for the Otters. Erie sank to 2-5-1-0 with the loss. Oshawa led 2-0 after one and 4-0 heading into the third.
Jaroslav Janus started for the Otters and allowed six goals on 42 shots to take the loss.
The three stars of the game were all from the Generals. Tavares was the first, goaltender Kevin Ballie (28 saves) the second and Denezhkin the third.
Erie completes a three-game road trip tomorrow (Saturday) night in Barrie against the Colts in a 7:30 p.m. contest. The game can be heard live on FOX Sports Radio AM 1330 The FAN and on-line at www.ottershockey.com (presented by the James H. Cross Company) beginning with the pre-game show at 7:15 p.m.
