Rampage Travel to Kansas City to Face Brigade Tomorrow

Grand Rapids Rampage News Release
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The Grand Rapids Rampage look to get back to .500 tomorrow night (April 14) at 8:00 p.m. EDT here against the Kansas City Brigade. The game marks the first meeting between the two clubs. Kansas City entered the Arena Football League just last season, and is playing its first year in the American Conference's Central Division. Meanwhile, Grand Rapids is celebrating its 10th Anniversary Season.
Last week, the Rampage got back on the winning track with a 66-53 home victory over the New York Dragons. Quarterback Chad Salisbury (Perryopolis, Pa.) made his first start since suffering a concussion in the team's season-opening game, a 44-42 road win over the Colorado Crush. The 6-6, 240-pound signal caller did not disappoint, throwing for a career-high eight touchdowns. So far this season, Salisbury has tossed 10 touchdowns and no interceptions.
Grand Rapids' Timon Marshall (Kingston, Jamaica) put together yet another solid performance last week, leading the team in receptions (10), receiving yards (92) and receiving touchdowns (3). Marshall currently leads the AFL in kickoff return yards with 672, while his 1,103 all-purpose yards rank second overall in the league.
Unfortunately, the Rampage will be without the services of defensive back Angel Estrada (Bronx, N.Y.) for a while. Last week's Defensive Player of the Game led the team in tackling against the Dragons and made several key pass breakups in the win. However, Grand Rapids placed the hard-hitting defensive back on injured reserve late this week, and Estrada will have to sit out for at least four weeks.
Tomorrow night's game features two new Central Division rivals. The Kansas City Brigade entered the AFL last year in the Southern Division of the National Conference, but moved to Grand Rapids' Central Division following the return to the league of the New Orleans VooDoo. With a win, Kansas City can move to 4-2 on the season and eclipse last season's win total. Meanwhile, the Rampage hope to move to 3-3 before they welcome the defending ArenaBowl champion Chicago Rush to a sold-out Van Andel Arena on April 21.
Rampage fans can catch the action live with play-by-play voice Joe Parson on WBFX 101.3 or at RampageFootball.com. For additional information including updated schedules, rosters, and ticket options, visit RampageFootball.com.
