Hudson Valley Renegades News Release
Well in the second installment of the Ramblings, Linden is here for some updated news about Renegades Rampage.
The show is slated for a bell time of 3:00pm on Saturday October 2nd. Dutchess Stadium will be rocking; how many of you reading this will be there to witness this great event?
On a sad note to begin the Ramblings, Ray Traylor AKA the Big Boss Man passed away Wednesday night, and we at the Renegades send our deepest condolences to the Traylor family.
In his NWA days, he was known as Big Bubba Rogers (Jim Cornette's bodyguard). After a few years in Georgia, he moved up the East Coast to the WWF where he and Akeem known as The Twin Towers wrecked havoc on tag teams. Managed by "The doctor of Style" Slick, they had numerous feuds for a couple of years.
After his Big Boss Man ran out a stint in the WWF, he moved back down to Georgia and was part of Ted Turner's WCW. He ended his career for the most part with WWF. He since has been doing independent shows as well as shows in Japan. Wrestling fans around the world will miss Ray Traylor.
One nice thing about the wrestlers that will be coming to Dutchess Stadium is that they are doing interviews on local radio stations. King Kong Bundy was an interviewee on WPDH earlier in the week and on Thursday, Jerry "The King" Lawler gave the fans insights on his return to the Hudson Valley. Mick Foley, Sgt. Slaughter, and others are scheduled to be on the various morning shows....stay tuned for further details.
Al Snow, who will be making his first trip to the Hudson Valley in over 5 years, is excited about the challenge of being in the ring at Dutchess Stadium. Hailing from Lima, Ohio.....Only 30 minutes north of where Linden is from, Al states that whomever he wrestles at the Rampage, they will wish their name wasn't Too Cold Scorpio!
Sgt. Slaughter will be donning the tights for the first time in a few years, and says this is his first trip to Dutchess County in almost 15 years. The Hall of Famer will be accepting challenges from whatever "maggot" has the guts to take the "cobra clutch". Maybe some of the folks from GI Joe will be on hand to root him on. If not, well the Sarge will do it his way, with no help except from the Dutchess Stadium hopefuls.
King Kong Bundy made a splash back in the 80's and early 90's, but still will cripple anyone who gets in his way with his "avalanche". His feud with Hulk Hogan even made me cry back on Saturday Night's Main Event. This of course led to the match between Hogan and King Kong Bundy @ Wrestlemania 2. He loves to wrestle still, which is why he will crush his opponent on October 2nd.
Ok, well I must say good-bye for now, but Linden may be back soon, unless I take my foot off of Turnbuckle Terry's throat. Until then, I will see you all later...."If You Will"........
