
Rampage Midfielder Invited to Team UAS Futsal Camp

Cedar Rapids, IA - Cedar Rapids Rampage midfielder Diego Bobadilla has been invited to a camp hosted by the USA national futsal team. Bobadilla will be among 13 others as they compete for spots on the team to represent the United States at the 2016 CONCACAF Futsal Championship, where teams qualify for the Futsal World Cup.
"This trip to Europe is important in our overall preparation for our players and team for the upcoming qualifiers in May," said USA futsal national team coach Keith Tozer. "It helps me to start identifying players for our final roster and it also prepares players for competitive matches that will be extremely important to qualify for the FIFA World Cup."
The invitees will travel to Umag, Croatia from January 22 until February 2 and will play in seven games. The United States team will play Coatia (Jan. 24), Slovenia (Jan. 25 & 27), France U-21s (Jan. 26), Lebanon (Jan. 29 & 31), Montenegro (Feb. 1).
