Cedar Rapids, IA - The Cedar Rapids Rampage have signed veteran indoor soccer forward Semir Mesanovic, the team announced this afternoon. Mesanovic joins the Rampage for his 15th professional soccer season.
Mesanovic (5'9, 144 lbs.) previously took the pitch as a member of the Chicago Mustangs last season. With Chicago, Mesanovic recorded three points.
"Semir is a welcome addition to our franchise," Rampage co-owner and general manager Chris Kokalis stated. "He will do a great job of helping coach up the younger players on the squad."
Prior to Chicago, the Toronoto, Canada native played for the Rockford Rampage of the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL). Mesanovic scored 19 goals over the course of 13 games while in Rockford. He also recorded five assists for a total 24 points over the course of the 2012-2013 PASL season.
Mesanovic debuts for the Rampage this Sunday, November 15th at 3pm when the MASL's newest team hosts the Detroit Waza Flo.
