(Boise, ID) - Head coach Derek Laxdal announced that the Idaho Steelheads have come to terms with forward Greg Rallo for the 2009-2010 season.

Rallo played parts of three seasons in Idaho between 2005 and 2008, twice being named an ECHL All-Star. In 104 career games (including playoffs), he has 42 goals and 43 assists as a member of the Steelheads. He had five points (1 G, 4 A) in the 2008 All-Star contest.

"Adding a player of Greg's caliber is, obviously, tremendous for our hockey team," Laxdal said. "We've all seen first-hand how talented Greg is and we're thrilled to have him back."

Rallo, who celebrated his 28th birthday on Wednesday, tallied 42 points in 51 games (regular season and playoffs) during Idaho's Kelly Cup championship run in 2006-2007. Among his eight playoff goals that spring was the series-clincher to eliminate Las Vegas and advance to the conference finals.

"There's only one place in the ECHL that I want to play and that's Boise," Rallo said. "My wife (Laina) and I are very comfortable with the city and wouldn't have a problem being there long-term."

The Gurnee, IL, native has played 98 games over the past two seasons in the American Hockey League, one step below the NHL, totaling ten goals and 12 assists with the Rockford Ice Hogs, Albany River Rats, and Manitoba Moose.
