February 5, 2015 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada)
Halifax Rainmen News Release
The Halifax Rainmen welcome the Brampton A's to the Scotiabank Centre for a late regular season match-up Friday, February 6th at 7pm. For Brampton's Bryson Johnson the game will have special meaning as it will be a home coming to the province where he began his basketball career.
Johnson played in Nova Scotia until the completion of his Grade 10 year, when he moved to Waterloo, Ontario to finish his high school education. He would go on to play for Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, proving to be one of the school's most prolific shooters from beyond the arc, hitting 323 shots during his tenure. Bryson would finish 10th all time on Bucknell's scoring list with 1,384 points.
Upon completing his time with Bucknell University Johnson would spend a season with the Fraport Skyliners in Germany where he averaged 11.3 points during the regular season. Now back in Canada, playing with the Brampton A's of the NBL Canada, Johnson is looking forward to the opportunity to play in front of his home province where his basketball journey began so many years ago.
Johnson and the rest of the Brampton A's are in town this Friday for their only regular season visit. Make sure to check out the great action inside the Scotiabank Centre at 7pm. Tickets are still available at the Scotiabank Centre Box Office, through Ticket Atlantic, or by visiting www.rainmenbasketball.ca.
