
Rainmen Wash out Storm in Pre-Season Action

Halifax Rainmen News Release
The Halifax Rainmen washed out the Summerside Storm during their pre-season Rogers Slam Dunk Fan home game on Sunday afternoon in front of 8,422 fans.
The leading scorer for the Rainmen was Rodney Buford with 17 points, followed by Shawn Hawkins with 13 and DeAndre Thomas with 12.
Halifax native Christian "T-Bear" Upshaw scored his first professional bucket during the second quarter when he sunk a three-point shot with seconds to go in the first half.
The Summerside Storm's leading scorer of the game was Troy Gottseling with 14 points, followed by Al Stewart with 13. The unofficial box score statistics can be found attached to this press release.
The Rainmen's regular season home opener takes place on Saturday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m. when they face head coach Michael Ray Richardson and his London Lightning.
