
Kebs Down Mill Rats in Fredericton

(Fredericton, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats dropped an exhibition game 108 to 89 to the Quebec Kebs at the Richard J Currie Center in Fredericton to a crowd of nearly 500 boisterous fans. The game marked the first time professional basketball has been seen in the Capital City.
The contest featured former UNB Varsity Red Mike Anderson, who played with the Mill Rats in the inaugural season, making an appearance for the home crowd. Anderson finished with 4 points.
The Mill Rats were led by Anthony Anderson with 14 points, while Mezzie Nwigwe and Terrence Woodyard came in with 9 points each. The Kebs were led by Jermaine Blackburn with 17 points.
Up next for the Mill Rats is a preseason contest at the Eastlink Arena in Summerside, PEI on Wednesday evening at 7pm. Following the road game, the Mill Rats will take on the Moncton Miracles for the Rogers Slam Dunk Night on Thursday at 7pm at Harbour Station.
