(HALIFAX, NS) Tonight the Halifax Rainmen sent the Oshawa Power back to Ontario without a single win on Halifax's home court for the 2011-12 NBL Canada season. The Rainmen won the game by a score of 117-93 in front of 3,204 fans at the Metro Centre.
The leading scorer for the Rainmen was Lawrence Wright with 22 points and 10 rebounds in 27 minutes of play, followed by Tyrone Levett with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Justin Johnson added 15 points in the win.
The Oshawa Power's Omari Johnson lead the Power with a whopping 37 points and 16 rebounds. Brandon Robinson added 17 points for the Power while Morgan Lewis added 10. The unofficial box score statistics can be found attached to the press release.
The Rainmen will play their next game at the Halifax Metro Centre on Saturday, January 14 at 7:00 p.m. against the Saint John Mill Rats, where the Rainmen will celebrate EastLink night.
