
Despite Plummer's 40 Mill Rats Come up Short

(Saint John, NB): The Saint John Mill Rats, presented by Rogers, fell short on the road against the Quebec Kebs 112-101 despite Greg Plummer's 40 points.
The game featured the debut of guards Darren Duncan and Courtland Bluford. Duncan scored 8 points and added 10 assists. Bluford scored 5 points and added 8 assists.
"We dug ourselves a hole in the first half, but the guys fought hard and rallied in the second half," stated Mill Rats Head Coach Jaren Jackson. "We'll bounce back, the guys need time to gel and practice - we definitely missed Anderson."
The Kebs led 61-42 at the half behind Royce Parran's 12 points. Saint John rallied to cut the lead to 103-99 but could not close the gap.
In addition to Plummer's 40, Antoine Tisby added 19 points and 15 rebounds, and Antonio Burks had 11. Parren ended with 22 and Ralphy Holmes 17 for Quebec.
Saint John drops to 9-11 on the season and the Kebs improve to 15-7.
The Mill Rats next pay a visit to the red-hot Halifax Rainmen, who have won 9 in a row on January 14. Join the team Jan. 14th, Saturday as they take on the Rainmen by riding on the Mill Rats Fan Bus with Coach Jackson making the return trip with the fans.
The Mill Rats host a rematch with the #1 ranked London Lightning on Sunday, January 15th for the "Smells Like School Spirit" theme night.
