
Rainmen Knock off Millrats in Pre Season

New head coach Cliff Levingston got his first NBL of Canada win, as the Halifax Rainmen knocked off the Saint John Mill Rats 94 - 89 atHarbour Station, in front of 3,200 fans.
Halifax's balanced attack was led by guard Eddie Smith's 21 points including two free throws at the end to put the game out of reach for the Millrats. Brandon Robinson added 15 while centre Paul Nelson had 13 points.
Despite the loss, Mill Rats PJ Young finished with a game high 34 points, followed by Anthony Anderson with 23 and Jerice Crouch adding 17.
The loss drops the Mill Rats preseason to 1-1 while the Rainmen pull even at 1-1.
The Rainmen's regular season home opener takes place on Saturday, November 10 th at 7:00 p.m. when they face the Saint John Millrats.
