Halifax Rainmen News Release
(Halifax,NS): Halifax Rainmen headline NBL Canada 2014-2015 Award Winners as announced by the league today.
Head Coach Joseph "Pep" Claros was named 2015 NBLC Coach Of The Year, Kevin Young was named 2015 NBLC Defensive Player Of The Year and Tyrone Watson was named 2015 NBLC Canadian Of The Year.
"We are extremely proud that Coach Claros, Kevin Young and Tyrone Watson have been recognized by our league in these categories," said Rainmen Owner Andre Levingston. "We are focused on the upcoming championship finals against the defending champions, so we will reflect more on this after the season, but its a nice complement and they each worked very hard this year."
Claros has led the Rainmen to their second NBL Canada finals appearance in the two seasons he has been at the helm. The Rainmen finished the season on a 10-Game winning streak to clinch the Atlantic Division Title.
