
Rainmen Get First Road Win of the Season

(Halifax, NS) The Halifax Rainmen earned their first road win of the season against the Summerside Storm on Thursday night by a score of 97-96.
The leading scorer for the Rainmen was Lawrence Wright with 18 points, followed by Taliek Brown with 16 and Justin Johnson with 15. Johnson scored the game-winning basket with less than 6 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
The Storm's leading scorer was Chris Cayole with 20 points, followed by Louie McCroskey with 18. Al Stewart had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. The box score statistics can be found at www.dakstats.com.
The Rainmen, who now sit at a 5-4 record, will return to the Metro Centre on Saturday night at 7 p.m., where they will face the NBL Canada's second-place team, the Quebec Kebs.
