Tacoma, WA - The Tacoma Rainiers (37-42) took down the Portland Beavers (37-43) tonight 4-1 in front of 3712 fans at Cheney Stadium. Rainiers starter Doug Fister held the Beavers bats to just one earned run on six hits in 7.0 inning of work. Game #2 of the series will be tomorrow at 7:00 pm at Cheney Stadium.
