SALT LAKE CITY (July 1, 2009) - The Salt Lake Bees announced today that the club has placed infielder Matt Brown on the Disabled List with left elbow inflammation.

Brown, 26, has appeared in 68 games for the Bees in 2009, hitting .216 with 16 doubles, 10 homeruns and 44 RBI. He hit .320 for Salt Lake in 2008, finishing 10th in the Pacific Coast League. The Bellevue, Wash. native was originally drafted by the Angels in the 10th round of the 2001 draft.
