
Rain Suspends Jumbo Shrimp and Biscuits Thursday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp right-hander Jeff Brigham and Montgomery Biscuits right-hander J.D. Martin dueled for scoreless baseball before rain suspended play with one out in the bottom of the fifth inning on Budweiser Thirsty Thursday and Teach Appreciation Night at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville.
Thursday's game is scheduled to be resumed at 5:05 p.m. Friday, June 29, with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The game will be completed to a full nine innings, followed by a seven-inning game, which will start no earlier than 7:05 p.m. Regular individual tickets for Thursday's game may be exchanged at the box office for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining regular season home game.
Fans holding tickets for Friday, June 29, are welcome to attend both the resumed game and the ensuing contest. Group picnics will remain at their scheduled times.
Thursday marked the seventh scheduled date - fifth at home - the Jumbo Shrimp did not complete an official game due to rain. Tickets from the following rain-impacted dates may be exchanged at the box office for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining regular season home game:

On Thursday, Brigham held Montgomery hitless until one out in the top of the fifth inning, and right fielder John Norwood threw out a runner at home plate later in the inning. Jacksonville stranded a runner at third base in the fourth inning.
UP NEXT: The Jumbo Shrimp continue Thursday's game against Montgomery at 5:05 p.m. Friday, before playing another seven-inning game, starting no earlier than 7:05 p.m. Fans may visit any participating NAPA AutoCare Center to get a FREE general admission ticket (reserved seat upgrade available at the box office) for the games that will be followed by NAPA AutoCare Family Fireworks. The Jumbo Shrimp wear red "Bold City" jerseys to support the military on Red Shirt Friday, when fans who wear red can save $1 per ticket at the box office or donate the $1 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. Friday Night Lites Miller Lite Happy Hour offers $1 12-oz. Miller Lite and $1 off craft beer specials in the Craft Cave by the third-base gates until 7:30 p.m. The game is presented by 99.9 Gator Country.
