Rain Postpones Monday Night's Generals Game
July 23, 2012 - Texas Collegiate League (TCL)
Victoria Generals News Release
Right after the ceremonial first pitch proceeding Monday night's scheduled game between the Victoria Generals and Woodlands Strykers in Victoria, a thunderstorm developed right on top of Riverside Stadium and poured down rain for about 20 minutes. The rain was enough to force a postponement of the game.
A makeup date for the game will be announced later on in the season.
The Generals will have a day off on Tuesday before traveling to Bryan to take on the Brazos Valley Bombers on Wednesday night at 7:05pm.
The Generals return home for the first game of a five-game home stand starting on Thursday night. It will be another Thirsty Thursday at the Generals game with $1 draft beer on the party deck all game long. Thursday night is also VC Night at the Ballpark. All students, faculty, and staff that present a VC ID card at the gate will receive $2 off general admission tickets.
