New Haven County Cutters News Release

Due to inclement weather, Friday night?s game between the New Haven County Cutters and the New Jersey Jackals was postponed until Saturday. The two teams will now meet in a doubleheader of seven-inning games starting at 5:05 p.m.. This will be the second time in three days the Cutters have hosted a doubleheader. They swept both games against the Elmira Pioneers on Thursday.

The postponement means that Friday?s tribute to wrestling icon George "The Animal" Steele has been rescheduled for during Sunday?s 2:05 game.

Also on Sunday, the Cutters host the "Dog Days of Summer." Fans are welcome to bring their pooch to Yale Field for a day of parades, tricks and socializing among other canines. Proof of vaccination is required for entrance.

Tickets for Friday?s game can be redeemed for a ticket to any other Cutters home game this season. For ticket inquiries and purchases call 203-777-5636 or visit the Yale Field box office or www.CuttersBaseball.com.

Derrick Gibson Named All-Star Starter

Cutters outfielder Derrick Gibson was selected as a starter on the Can-Am League All-Star team on Friday after being voted in by the league?s managers and media.
