The Carolina RailHawks (4W-4T-1L, 16pts) will host Minnesota United FC (4W-2T3L, 14 pts) at WakeMed Soccer Park on Saturday, June 22 at 7:00pm ET. The RailHawks return to Cary after a valuable 1-1 draw against Canadian foe FC Edmonton. The match has tremendous implications on the NASL Spring Season standings and determining who will host the NASL Soccer Bowl. The RailHawks and Minnesota United currently sit 1 point and 3 points, respectively, behind league leader, Atlanta Silverbacks. "This weekend against Minnesota is a very big game," said RailHawks head coach Colin Clarke. "It's the start of an important two weeks of NASL play. The good thing for us is that our next two matches are at home and we have performed well at home. It's important to go out and continue that success at home starting Saturday night."

The two clubs last met on May 4th when the RailHawks traveled to the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome in Minneapolis and escaped with a 2-2 draw. Defender Jordan Graye put the RailHawks ahead with the first goal of the game in the 40th minute of play. Minnesota striker, and former RailHawks striker, Etienne Barbara would score two quick goals to in the 58th and 65th minutes to give Minnesota the lead. In the 84th minute, Enzo Martinez would step up and hit a long distance goal to tie the match level at two.

Since the May 4th meeting, the RailHawks have gone 2W-2T-1L in NASL play, while Minnesota has recorded a 2W-0T-3L run. A win for either club would be a massive three points for either club as both have a matchup with first-place Atlanta looming over the final two weeks of the NASL Spring Season.
