GARY, Ind. - The Gary SouthShore RailCats have a limited number of FREE tickets available on a first come first serve basis for the RailCats Mascot Talent Search on Saturday, February 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Diamond Club at U. S. Steel Yard.
The RailCats are on the lookout for an additional performer to play the role of both Rusty and Rascal the RailCat (not at the same time of course) to help spread the RailCats unique brand of fun, family entertainment both at U. S. Steel Yard and throughout Northwest Indiana for the upcoming season. The 'Cats have invited a number of potential candidates to audition for the part by competing in a gauntlet of mascot related contests. The day's events will include a dance contest, best gimmick/skit contest, best cheer/crowd exciting activity, a high-five contest reminiscent of the slam-dunk contest and an obstacle course.
All activities will take place in the Diamond Club banquet facility on the east side of U. S. Steel Yard and the RailCats have a limited supply of FREE tickets available to the public. This event will surely be a blast for the whole family and those interested in attending the Mascot Talent Search should contact RailCats Community Relations Manager Radley Robinson by calling 219.882.2255, via email at rrobinson@railcatsbaseball.com or by looking for the flyer at the 2011 Fan Fest at the Radisson Hotel on February 5.
