Raiders WR Moore Named Player of the Week
July 3, 2013 - Professional Indoor Football League (PIFL)
Richmond Raiders News Release
Richmond Raiders wide receiver Hakeem Moore was named this week's Professional Indoor Football League Offensive Player of the Week following the team's 44-40 win over the Lehigh Valley SteelHawks in the PIFL Semifinal.
Moore led all receivers with 12 receptions, 149 yards, and four touchdowns. His diving catch in the end zone with 30 seconds left proved to be the game winning margin. He scored with 9:01 remaining in the fourth quarter to give the Raiders the lead for the first time after they had trailed by 15 points earlier. Moore has racked up over 100 yards in five of the last six games, and seven times overall this season. He finished second in the league during the regular season in total yardage and was third in yards per catch.
This is Moore's second Player of the Week award this season. He also won the honor after the Raiders' 66-60 overtime win against Columbus on May 25. Moore made the game winning touchdown catch in that contest as well. Including the regular season, the Raiders received 11 Player of the Week awards to lead the PIFL. Three came on offense, four on defense, and four on special teams.
