Raiders to Participate in Leukemia Fundraising Event Thursday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (December 31, 2008)- The Rochester Raiders of the Indoor Football League (IFL) will be participating in a Leukemia fundraiser Thursday afternoon The event will benefit Justin Dude also known as "Bones" to his friends and family, an 8 year old Hilton resident who was recently diagnosed with Leukemia in August. The event will be held at Pleasure Lanes Bowling Alley in Hilton, New York. The purpose of the event is to raise funds to go towards Leukemia research to help young children like Justin in the Rochester area.

Raiders players will be on hand tomorrow afternoon beginning at 4pm to do their part to support Justin and help further the efforts in Leukemia research. The Raiders will also be honoring Justin Dude by naming their new mascot who has yet to be introduced for the 2009 season as Bones. Bones will appear at each Raiders home game and events around the Rochester area throughout the season.

All public and media is invited and encouraged to attend this event to help gain awareness and help raise money in the City of Rochester for Leukemia.
