Rochester Raiders News Release

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (January 7, 2008)- Yesterday the Rochester Raiders added more weapons to their already powerful offense with the signing of CIFL all-star wide receiver Darryl Frager and running back Felix Joyner, both of which spent last season with the Port Huron Pirates. The Raiders also added depth on the defensive side of the ball by signing three defensive standouts in linebacker Brenton Brady, who was a CIFL All-Pro Second Team member last season, as well as defensive back Kelvin Brown. The Raiders have also re-signed defensive end Kwynn Walton who was a dominant force during the Raiders championship run in 2007. Joyner, Brady, Jendryaszek and Walton are all Section Five products that attended Hilton, Marshall, Rush Henrietta and Aquinas respectively. The addition of Frager adds yet another big-play receiver to compliment Maurice Jackson and the rest of the Raiders dynamic offense that is already in place.

"These are all extremely talented players and fit extremely well with the guys that we have already re-signed so far from last years team," commented Raiders owner Bob Bartosiewicz, "We are a very versatile team and have a lot of weapons that are going to give our coaches a lot of options on both sides of the ball."

The Raiders are scheduled to open training camp at the end of January with rookie camp that will include the players that have attended the three tryouts that have been held over the past couple of months. The veterans will report to camp in the beginning of February. The Raiders will kick off their 2008 season March 21 when they visit the Chesapeake Tide and will have their home opener at the Blue Cross Arena the following week March 29 against the Lehigh Valley Outlawz at 2:00pm. Season Tickets are currently on sale at the Blue Cross Arena and through Ticketmaster at a cost of $60 for the entire season, individual tickets will not be available until February and will be $15 per ticket.
