Raiders Open 2008 Home Schedule With Kids Day

ROCHESTER, N.Y.- The 2007 Continental Indoor Football League Champion Rochester Raiders are two weeks away from their home opener at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial on March 29 at 2:00 against the Lehigh Valley Outlawz. The Raiders regular season will officially get underway next weekend when they travel to Chesapeake to play the Tide. The only time the Raiders played at Blue Cross Arena during the 2007 season was for the CIFL Championship in which they beat the previously undefeated Port Huron Pirates 37 to 27.
"We are just itching to start playing football again, I know our guys are anxious to get back out there and hit someone other then their own teammates. The league as a whole has gotten a lot better but we have adapted and signed some great players this off-season that we are really excited about and we have seen some great things from them in training camp so far. We have put together a group of guys that the City of Rochester can be proud of not as just football players but as young men of this city. We feel that this team gives us a great opportunity to repeat as the league champions."
Opening day festivities for the home opener on March 29 will get underway early with Ruby Shooz performing at the PreGame Tailgate Party starting at 11:30am outside of Blue Cross Arena. Season Tickets are still available for $60 for the entire regular season and individual game tickets can also be purchased for $15 for adults and $10 at the Blue Cross Arena Box Office or any Ticketmaster location. Season Ticket holders will receive a reserved seat in the season ticket holder's section where individual game tickets will be sold as general admission. March 29th will be "Kids Day" in which kids 12 and under will receive $2 off tickets that are bought at the door on the day of the game. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to watch the Raiders raise the 2007 Championship banners during the pregame ceremonies.
