Prince Albert Raiders News Release
Prince Albert, Saskatchewan - The Prince Albert Raiders are pleased to announce that goaltenders Dustin Butler and Steven Stanford combined for 1,078 saves on home ice during the 2007-08 Western Hockey League season. Their efforts result in a total donation of $2,000 from sponsors OK Tire and TD Canada Trust in the Saves for Kids promotion to Children's Health & Hospital Foundation, the Saskatchewan member of the Children's Miracle Network.
Over the two seasons of this promotion over $5,000 has been donated by community minded businesses to the CMN thanks to saves on home ice by Raider goalies. During the 2006-07 campaign, Raider goaltenders made 1,069 saves on home ice during 36 regular season and two playoff games.
"The Children's Health & Hospital Foundation of Saskatchewan is very happy to once again be a part of the Saves for Kids promotion" said Lisa Sands of the Children's Health & Hospital Foundation. "We are the Saskatchewan member of the Children's Miracle network and are 100% dedicated to Saskatchewan children and their hospital. Funds received today will be used to help fund pediatric medical research, equipment, education and the provincial children's hospital. Children from Prince Albert and from across the entire province will benefit from the generosity of OK Tire, TD Canada Trust and the great PA Raider goaltending!"
