Rage Return Home to Battle Southwest's Top Two Clubs
February 7, 2008 - Central Hockey League (CHL)
Rocky Mountain Rage News Release
Broomfield, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Rage return to Broomfield Event Center this weekend for the first time since Jan. 22 when they host the Arizona Sundogs tomorrow and the Odessa Jackalopes on Saturday. Both games against the top two teams from the Central Hockey League's Southwest Division begin at 7:05 p.m.
Despite going just 2-4-1 on their longest road trip of the year that concluded on Tuesday with a 4-2 loss to the Tulsa Oilers, the Rage still lead the Northwest Division with a record of 29-9-4 and 62 points, nine points ahead of the second-place Colorado Eagles.
During tomorrow's game against the Sundogs, who lead the Southwest by one point over the Jackalopes, Rocky Mountain will wear Breast Cancer Awareness specialty jerseys. The game-worn jerseys will then be auctioned off immediately following the game in the BEC Club Restaurant with all monies benefitting the BEC Foundation. A donation will be made from the Foundation to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Metro Denver Affiliate. Breast cancer survivor Glenna Beihler will drop the ceremonial puck.
When Odessa visits on Saturday, the first 2,000 kids 12 and under at Broomfield Event Center will receive a free Rage Youth Jersey courtesy of Sam's Club.
Roster Note: The Rage waived forward Jeff Hansen today. Hansen appeared in 18 games for the club and accumulated 34 penalty minutes.
Single-game tickets for the remainder of the 2007-08 regular season are available with prices ranging from $18 - $43 per seat (parking included). Fans can purchase tickets at Broomfield Event Center's box office or through Ticketmaster by logging-on to www.Ticketmaster.com, calling (303) 830-TIXS, or visiting any Ticketmaster retail outlet.
