Rocky Mountain Rage News Release
Broomfield, Colo. - The Rocky Mountain Rage own the Central Hockey League's highest winning percentage with a record of 17-2-2. But both of their losses in regulation have been to the same club, the New Mexico Scorpions, who visit Broomfield Event Center for the first time this season tomorrow at 7:05 p.m. The Rage then conclude a two-game set at the BEC on Saturday when they host the Wichita Thunder also at 7:05 p.m.
Tickets for both games are on sale now with prices ranging from $18-$43 per seat (parking included). Fans can purchase tickets at Broomfield Event Center's box office or through Ticketmaster by logging-on to www.Ticketmaster.com, calling (303) 830-TIXS, or visiting any Ticketmaster retail outlet.
Rocky Mountain enters tomorrow's tilt with the Scorpions riding an 11-game home unbeaten streak (9-0-2) and a five-game winning streak overall. The last time the team lost was on Dec. 1, a 4-2 defeat in New Mexico. The Rage also suffered a shocking 10-0 setback to the Scorpions on Nov. 3.
On Saturday, Rocky Mountain faces the Thunder for the fourth time in seven games, looking to win its fifth straight against Wichita in as many meetings.
The Rage will host the 2008 CHL All-Star festivities on Tuesday and Wednesday, Jan. 15 and 16, at Broomfield Event Center. The All-Star Banquet, which is open to the public, will be held on the 15th. The banquet features the introduction of the two All-Star Teams plus a performance by Denver resident and 2005 Last Comic Standing winner Josh Blue. The All-Star Game will be played on the 16th, when the Northern and Southern Conferences will square-off in a battle for supremacy between the most talented players in the league.
