Abbotsford Heat News Release
The Abbotsford Heat are encouraging all of their fans, sponsors, ticket holders and school groups to wear the Abbotsford Heat team colour - RED - on their sleeves (literally) this Thursday, April 29th as the Heat take on the Hamilton Bulldogs in game 1 of the round 2 match up.
Abbotsford Heat staff will be out in the community to visit various companies, retail outlets and schools to offer those wearing RED a pair of tickets to our first ROUND 2 playoff date at home. The game takes place on Tuesday, May 4th at 7:00p.m. at the AESC.
The Heat, who rallied back from a 3-1 series deficit, advance to take on Hamilton in the North Division Finals beginning on Thursday night in Hamilton.
The Heat became the 15th team in AHL history to win a best-of-7 series after trailing 3-1 and just the fourth to capture a postseason series by winning Games 6 and 7 on the road. The last team to accomplish that feat was Providence, which ousted Hartford in the 2007 division semifinals.
