The Portland Thorns earned a 2-0 shutout victory over the host, Racing Louisville. Rocky Rodriguez converted a penalty kick in the 30' while Simone Charley recorded the other goal in the 52' by a cross from Emily Menges. Olivia Moultrie of Portland became the youngest player in NWSL history to play in a game at the age of 15.
