Racing Louisville FC News Release
Racing Louisville tapped into its widely respected academy to add two U-18 players to its preseason roster this week at The Women's Cup Colombia in Cali, the club announced Tuesday.
Academy prospects Tate Blincoe and Anna Gibson will join Racing's first team for Tuesday evening's TWC Colombia semifinal vs. Colombian powerhouse América de Cali that kicks off at 8 p.m. at Estadio Olimpico Pascual Guerrero. The match will be broadcast on beIN Sports.
Blincoe and Gibson will stick with the team for the remainder of the week, including Friday's match that will either be the third-place game or final of TWC Colombia. They are designated as non-roster invitees on Racing's preseason roster.
Blincoe is a defender from Bardstown, Kentucky, a short drive from Louisville. The Bardstown High attendee plays for the Racing Academy's 2006 ECNL squad and has previously trained with Racing's first team. The 2023 Miss Kentucky Soccer, Blincoe is an Ole Miss signee who was named a high school All-American and a three-time all-state selection.
Gibson, who attends Louisville's Assumption High and goes by "AG," is a midfielder. The Louisville native plays for Racing's 2006 ECNL squad with Blincoe and has also previously trained with the first team. She'll attend the hometown University of Louisville next year after twice being named all-state after tallying 56 goals and 53 assists in high school.
Defender Elli Pikkujämsä will be on international duty with Finland during TWC Colombia. Forwards Elexa Bahr (Colombia), Uchenna Kanu (Nigeria) and Linda Motlhalo (South Africa) are also on international duty during TWC Colombia and not with the team.
