
R-Phils Release 2013 Home Schedule

(Reading, Pa.)---With just one month remaining in the 2012 season, the Reading Phillies, Double-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies, have released their 2013 home schedule along with benefits and ticket information for current and new season ticket holders. On Friday, April 12, the R-Phils will host the Erie SeaWolves (Detroit Tigers) in the home opener of their 47th season at 7:05 p.m. The season concludes on Thursday, August 29 against the Richmond Flying Squirrels (San Francisco Giants).
Reading's 71-game home schedule features at least one visit by each of the Eastern League's other 11 teams, including ten bouts with Richmond and nine visits from former Southern Division foe, the Harrisburg Senators (Washington Nationals). The schedule is composed of 10 April games, 14 May games, 15 June games, 17 July games, and 15 August games.
Start times for 2013 regular season home games remain the same, with early season (April to May 23) weekday (Monday through Thursday) games starting at 6:35 p.m. and April Saturday night games beginning at 6:05 p.m. From the start of May until the end of the season, all Saturday games move to 6:35 p.m. Regular season weekday games start at 7:05 p.m. for each game from May 31 through the end of the year. All Friday games in 2013 will start at 7:05 p.m.
The schedule also is highlighted by a handful of afternoon games. Nine out of the 11 Sunday games will be played at 1:35 p.m., with the remaining two on July 28 and August 11 starting at 6:05 p.m. Reading will host three "Education Days" on Wednesday, May 1, Thursday, May 2, and Thursday, May 23 with each game kicking off at 11:35 a.m. A Baseballtown tradition continues when the team hosts its 12th Annual Morning Game on Monday, June 10 at 9:35 a.m.
A promotional schedule for the 2013 schedule will be released at a later date.
Current season ticket holders will have the option to renew their tickets for the 2013 season starting at Friday's 7:05 p.m. home game against the Binghamton Mets. From now until August 30, those who renew will receive the same pricing as the 2012 season in addition to an exclusive in-stadium renewal gift.
Season ticket holder benefits for 2013 include a discounted price on the best seats available, a pre-sale for 2013 Philadelphia Phillies tickets, a season ticket holders entrance that opens 10 minutes prior to regular gate opening time, an opportunity to purchase reserved parking and discounted Deck Buffet passes, the first opportunity to purchase playoff and special event tickets, and lastly, a free season ticket holder gift with each plan purchased. To qualify for season ticket holder benefits, one must purchase a plan of 22 games or more to qualify.
New season ticket plans for the upcoming season will also be on sale beginning Friday. Eleven and six-game yellow box seat mini-plans are available as well.
Tickets for all 2012 regular season home games, including the Crazy Hot Dog Vendor Door Mat on Sunday, August 5th, can be purchased online at www.RPhils.com, by phone at 610-370-BALL, and in person at the R-Phils Ticket Office at FirstEnergy Stadium. The 2012 season featuring the Baseballtown All-Star Classic at America's Classic Ballpark is presented by Pepsi.
