RiverCity Rage News Release
St. Louis, May 24, 2006 -The RiverCity Rage enter Friday nights game at the Savvis Center with (7-1) record. A win Friday for the Rage will clinch a 2006 NIFL Playoff bid. The (2-5) Bulldogs from Dayton will be the target in this Atlantic North Division gridiron battle. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Savvis Center.
Last week in Florida, the Rage defeated the previously unbeaten Lakeland Thunderbolts 50-46 when Anthony Fisher connected with Moses Regular as time expired inside the endzone. Dayton enters the game after falling on the road last week to the Charleston Sandsharks 31-49.
Defense will be key for the Rage in the match-up, and one player who came up big against Lakeland will also be called on Friday. DL Mike Matranga had 5 solo tackles and 1 assist. Matranga also added 1 sack on the night.
"Fundamentals win games. We have to take care of the little things, like blocking, tackling, throwing and catching. Our squad has a strong "team" concept. We just go and play and don't worry about who gets the credit." stated Mike Wyatt, Head Coach, RiverCity Rage, about the team.
The gates will open at 6:00 p.m.

REGULAR NAMED NIFL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rage Wide Receiver Moses Regular was tabbed the NIFL Offensive Player of the Week for week 11 of the 2006 season. Regular was selected for the honor based on his 3 TD perfomance in the Rage's upset victory over the previously unbeaten Lakeland Thunderbolts. The final TD was the one that sealed the fate for both teams as he took a 5 yard toss from Rage QB Anthony Fisher on the game's final play.
