Rancho Cucamonga Quakes News Release

Lancaster, CA - A seven-run explosion over the first two innings sent the Quakes to a 10-6 win over the Lancaster JetHawks on Monday night at The Hangar in Lancaster.

Duke Von Schamann won his sixth straight start and the Quakes won for the third straight time overall, moving to within 2 ½ games of first place in the South Division.

O'Koyea Dickson had four RBIs, including a three-run double as part of a four-run first as the Quakes sacked JetHawks' starter Tyson Perez (1-3) for four in the first and three more in the second.

Telvin Nash had a big game for Lancaster, as he drove in a total of three runs, picking up two on his second homer of the series, a towering blast to left off of Von Schamann in the fourth.

The JetHawks got two more in the fifth to make it 7-4, but Rancho kept adding runs, as they tallied two in the seventh and picked up one more on a Dickson sac fly in the eighth to round out their scoring.

Pedro Baez got tested in the last of the ninth, as the JetHawks loaded the bases. Baez held on though, getting Chris Epps to fly out to left field to end the game.

Von Schamann (6-1) now leads the Cal League in wins with six, as he allowed four runs on seven hits in 5 2 /3 innings.

The Quakes, who've now won nine of their last 11 on the road, including four straight, will look for a three-game sweep on Tuesday, as they send James Campbell (1-3) to the mound, opposite Lancaster's Kyle Hallock (1-0) at 11:00am.

On Thursday night, the Quakes will return to LoanMart Field for another Thirsty Thursday promotion. Game time will be 7:05pm and tickets are available by calling (909) 481-5000 or online at rcquakes.com. We hope to see you very soon at LoanMart Field...Go Quakes!
