Kicking Into High Gear?: Kimo Naehu has shown vast improvement since the team has been able to host the majority of their practices at The MARK of the Quad Cities. Prior to the game against Louisville the Waipahu, Hawaii native was 0-4 in field goals and 19-31 in PAT's. The past two games Naehu is 1-3 in field goals and 10-12 in PAT's. Before the game versus Louisville the Steamwheelers were 21st in PAT kicking (.613) and have since moved to 18th in the league (.674). In the past two weeks Naehu is in the top 10 in PAT kicking percentage and in PAT scoring he ranks 10th in percentage (.833) and eighth in PAT scoring (10 points).

Scouting the Shock: This will be the first-ever meeting between these two teams. The expansion Shock is currently led by quarterback Alex Neist. Neist has thrown for 1,661 yards and 30 touchdowns on the season. The quarterback's favorite target is Antwone Savage, who has caught 12 touchdown receptions and gained 501 receiving yards. Rob Keefe and Johnny Lamar lead the af2's third best total and passing defense with 35.8 and 28.5 tackles respectively. Keefe is tied for second in the af2 in interceptions with five on the season, while Lamar is 10th in the league with nine pass breakups. The Shock are second in time of possession, just seven seconds a game behind Quad City, and boast the third best red zone offense in the league scoring 88.5 percent of the time.

Game Time Change: The Quad City game versus the Spokane Shock is scheduled for 9:00 p.m. (CST). Please make note of this time change. It was previously listed as 8:00 p.m. (CST) based on a 9:00 p.m. (EST) listed in the arenafootball2 league Red Book and Media Guide. The time has since been changed.

On the Road Again: After returning from the Spokane, Washington road trip on Sunday Quad City will have traveled 9,925 miles, just 75 miles shy of 10,000. However, they haven't traveled the farthest. At least three teams, Rio Valley (12,678), Everett (11,632) and Stockton (10,917) have traveled further.

Upcoming Promotions: On June 3rd when the Steamwheelers host the Albany Conquest they will be hosting Scout Night. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts can receive specially priced tickets to the game. Also the first 2,000 fans entering the field for autographs after the game will receive the 2006 Deck Mate Swimsuit Calendar. Fans who are holding tickets to the Saturday, June 3rd game against Albany can use their Steamwheelers ticket before and after the game to get into the Greek Cultural Festival, hosted at the John Deere Commons and River Drive in front of The MARK, for free. The festival is a celebration of Greek arts, culture, traditional dancing, wine tasting, delicious food and is great entertainment for the entire family.
