Louisville Fire News Release
FIRE GETS BACK ON THE WINNING TRACK: The Fire defense got back on track this weekend allowing just 38 points to Albany in Saturday's 51-38 victory. The Fire offense topped the 50 point mark for the third straight game and for the fourth time in the last five games. Offensive specialist Rob Mager caught 14 passes for 207 yards and five touchdowns. Quarterback Brett Dietz completed 26 of 34 passes for 315 yards, eight touchdowns and no interceptions.
FIRE BACK ON THE ROAD: The Fire will go back on the road for their third road game of the month at Tennessee Valley. The Fire is 0-2 all-time against the Vipers, with both losses coming in Freedom Hall. The last time the two teams met on April 19, 2003 in Freedom Hall was head coach Tommy Johnson's first game as the Fire's head coach. The Fire will also be in search of their first road win of the 2006 season.
MAGER ON RECORD BREAKING PACE: Fire OS Rob Mager has put up impressive numbers since taking over the OS position last season. Mager is currently the Fire's top receiver in yards (891), receptions (70) and touchdowns (20). If Mager continues this pace he will set Fire records in all three categories this season.
