
QMJHL Suspends Two Players
September 27, 2010 - Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) News Release
BOUCHERVILLE, Monday, September 27, 2010 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Disciplinary Prefect, Raymond Bolduc, today suspended two players.
Rouyn-Noranda Huskies forward Christophe Déry is suspended two games for an illegal hit which occurred on Saturday, September 25 versus the Quebec Remparts.
Halifax Mooseheads defenseman Sawyer Hannay was suspended a total of four games (one automatic one-game suspension and three additional games) for an aggressor penalty which occurred on Sunday, September 26 versus the Quebec Remparts.
The decisions were rendered after reviewing the videotapes of the incidents, gathering testimonies from the players and the organizations involved, reading the officials' reports and consulting the independent committee in the matter of disciplinary sanctions.
The Disciplinary Prefect will not be available for further comment.
