(On the coaching staff.)

"I have hired a tremendous coaching staff for the 2004 season. I have surrounded myself with knowledgeable coaches who not only understand the game of football but also understand what it takes to win."

(On putting together a competitive team for 2004.)

"My coaching staff and I are working night and day trying to find as much talent the Central Valley and the surrounding cities have to offer. The bottom line is I have one job to do and that's win football games. Our ownership group put the faith in me when they hired me and now I have to fulfill my end of the bargain. I'm really excited about getting the 2004 season started."

(On your priorities once camp opens.)

"My number one priority for our 2004 camp is to get all of our players to gel as a team. We need our quarterbacks and receivers to get in a rhythm, we need our secondary to know all the coverage's and we need our line to learn all our blocking schemes. Once we get that going then it's all finesse after that. Camp is huge for building momentum rolling into the regular season."

(On 2003 af2 rookie of the year Johnny Turman.)

"Johnny was a huge pickup for this organization. Anytime you can get a quarterback that knows the arena game you are already one step ahead of the next guy. He [Turman] put up unbelievable numbers last season in Charleston and now we are hoping he can duplicate those stats if not better them. I like the intensity he has and the mental toughness he brings to the table. We're bringing in some good receivers that Johnny will be able to throw too."

(On the Central Valley fan support.)

"The Central Valley is full of football tradition and we look forward to the entire Central Valley embracing us as their professional football team. We are going to do our best to put on a good show and make a run at the 2004 ArenaCup. I can't wait for our first home game at the Selland Arena, it's going to be exciting."
