Puntureri Selected as FHL Player of the Month

Brooklyn, NY - The Federal Hockey League announced that New York Aviators' forward Matthew Puntureri has been selected as the December Player of the Month. The Pennsylvania product capped of the final month of 2010 with a twenty-four point performance, which lead the Aviators' offense.
Puntureri scored nine times in December and was first in assists with fifteen. He was third best for New York with a plus-nine in the month, and his forty-seven shots was atop the entire team.
Currently, Puntureri sits tied for fifth place in league scoring with thirty-eight points. To date, he has sixteen tallies, twenty-two helpers, and is a plus-eleven on the year.
In his last game, Puntureri notched a season high five points (2-3) against the Danbury Whalers in the Club's 8-1 win on New Year's Eve. The right winger has totaled eleven points in the Aviators last four games (2-2-0).
