
Prowlers Widen the Gap with Win over Danville

A four-point night for Arter Drindrozhik sealed the win for the Prowlers and gained them three more points to extend their lead on Danville to 10pts.
First period ended deadlocked at one. Matias Kasek got the Prowlers on the board first. Danville got the equalizer four minutes later from a Prowler turnover in their zone. Daniel Martin credited with the tip in from a Dustin Henning blue line wrister tying the game.
Fred Hein got the lead for Danville 17 seconds into the middle period with a Clapper from the near circle whizzing by Simons to take the lead. It took the Prowlers nine minutes and a man advantage for Matt Robertson to cash in on the power play. Tied at 2 is how the middle frame ended.
A minute and a half into the third period Shea Carey regained a one goal lead for the Prowlers, followed a by Matias Kasek's second goal of the night to give Port Huron a two goal lead with 11 minutes left to go. Danville did not go quietly when Eric Masters helped cut the lead in half with just under eight minutes left to go.
Danville's comeback effort fell short when Drindrozhik tallied an empty net goal from center ice to put the Port Huron back up two goals in the final minute.
Danville stays in town to take on the Prowlers again tomorrow from McMorran. Puck will drop at 7pm. Game stream will be live on Ebw.tv.
