Port Huron, MI - The Prowlers hosted the Brewster Bulldogs for the first time this season at McMorran Place Arena. It would be a losing road trip for the Bulldogs who allowed two shorthanded goals to drop their first road trip to Port Huron.

Nicolai Oklolbistyn would break the ice on the power play finding twine to put Brewster up 1-0. It was all Prowlers from there from the Oklolbistyn goal, Port Huron would score four unanswered goals. Ahmed Mahfouz would tie the game at 1 for his first goal and 8th point in four games. Then some secondary scoring as Jared Hicks would put the Prowlers up 2-1, with Mark Rivera getting the first of two shorthanded goals in the game the Prowlers would take a 3-1 cushion into the locker room.

With the Prowlers owning the momentum from the first period they wanted a little bit more. Trevor Karasiewicz found it to be a good time to put Jay Kenney out on the ice and that usually means a fight is coming. Kenney wasted no time dropping the gloves Joesph Cannan, which seemed to give the Prowlers a boost of energy netting two more goals. One from Brian Soskin at 7:38 of the 2nd period, and Chris Leveille would net another shorthanded goal that put the Prowlers on top 5-1 after two periods.

Third period was much of the same. The Prowlers would net two more goals. Dustin Skinner would find the twine again for his 21st goal of the season which unofficially leads the F.H.L in goals scored. The Bulldogs wouldn't go quietly netting two goals from Mike Zannella, in garbage time. But the mountain was too tall to climb and not enough time left on the clock as the Prowlers would do a good job of playing keep away securing the victory 7-3. Andy DiChristofaro again stellar making 45 saves another 40 plus victory for him.

Port Huron is back on the winning side of things as they've three in a row, after dropping back to back games to Danville last week. Brewster's struggles continue as they've now lost 4 in a row and 5 of their last 6. The road won't get any easier for them as they'll take on the 1st place Danville Dashers tomorrow in Danville. Port Huron has a full week off from games until they play host again to the Dayton Demolition on Saturday Jan 9th.
