Port Huron Prowlers News Release
Port Huron, MI | Over the weekend the Port Huron Prowlers hosted their first summer Prospects Camp. Players traveled in from all over North America to attend camp this weekend at the McMorran Place Arena in Port Huron, MI. Players at camp had a chance to highlight their skills through a mix of drills and scrimmages spanned out over the two days of skating. Camp seem to be a big success for Coach Karasiewicz signing seven players to tryout agreements, three goaltenders and four skaters.
There was only a guaranteed of three skaters and one goalie spot available going into camp, so we asked Coach Karasiewicz about him signing more " I thought that four guaranteed spots would probably be the max that I could fill coming out of camp so being able to sign seven is an added bonus". We also asked coach about the players skill level and expected performance at main camp "we got to see what these guys could do in some situations we really get to see what these guys can do when they come in the main camp and go up against some of the best players in the league".
Goaltenders signed were Tyler Kuehl, Grand Rapids, MI native, also from Michigan is Pontiac goaltender Keegan McGraw. The third goalie signed was Arren Romeril from Ontario, Canada.
Four skaters were also signed to PTO's, but none being defenseman. All four skaters are a mix of forwards. Dan Dworak, forward from Morton Grove, IL. Two Michigan forward made the cut winger Zachary Hitch, from Brighton and Nathan Robson, from Lapeer. Lastly centerman Chad Johnson, from Walker, MN.
